Live on Saturday & Sunday | 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM IST

What You'll Learn

This 2-day live training will equip you with all the core skills to start using PVsyst confidently.

Solar Energy Fundamentals

Understand the importance of energy estimation, irradiance, tilt angle, and site-specific parameters that influence PV performance.

Working with PVsyst Interface

Get comfortable with the PVsyst environment, learn how to import weather data, set up system parameters, and access essential design tools.

Designing Grid-Tied & Standalone Systems

Learn how to model grid-connected and standalone systems, choose inverters/modules, optimize capacity, and include trackers and bifacial modules.

Loss, Shading & Performance Analysis

Simulate soiling, LID, mismatch, and shading losses, and analyze output using P50/P90 metrics and full report generation tools

I don’t want to just sketch solar layouts… I want to simulate and optimize solar plants with real data and confidence.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

No prior PSCAD experience is required. This course is designed for electrical engineers, fresh graduates, and professionals working in substation design, protection, and power system studies. We start from the basics and build up to advanced insulation coordination topics.

The course is conducted 100% live on weekends (Saturday & Sunday). You’ll also get lifetime access to session recordings in case you miss any class or want to revise later.

You will need PSCAD installed on your system. Guidance on installation and trial versions will be provided before the training begins. We also use MATLAB (optional) for certain flicker or advanced studies, but it's not mandatory for participation.

You’ll work on real substation simulation cases including:
•400/220kV GIS VFTO Study
•Switching Overvoltages & Ferro-resonance Cases
•Real-Time Insulation Coordination Project from scope to report submission These are the kind of simulations engineers do in actual grid compliance and protection roles.

Yes, a Certificate of Completion will be issued after the course. If you submit your project assignment, you’ll also receive a project review certificate highlighting your hands-on simulation work.
