This 20-hour live training will give you the essential skills to run real-time power system studies in PSS®E with confidence. You’ll learn how to model, simulate, and analyze both steady state and dynamic studies step by step.
Learn how to build complete system models by adding sources, transformers, inverters, SVGs, transmission lines, and cables.
Master load flow, reactive power compensation, and short circuit studies. Understand how to interpret P-Q and Q-V curves for compliance.
Simulate LVRT, HVRT, frequency response, and active power ramp tests. Learn how these studies link directly to grid code requirements.
Translate simulation results into compliance-ready reports, including voltage, MW, and MVAr curves. Learn the structure utilities expect.
PSS®E: Real-Time Power System Studies
No. The course is designed for beginners as well as practicing engineers. We start with system modeling basics before moving into advanced steady state and dynamic studies.
You will learn to perform load flow, reactive power compensation, short circuit, LVRT, HVRT, frequency response, and active power ramp studies — the same cases used in grid compliance projects.
It is fully practical and project-based. Each session includes step-by-step demonstrations in PSS®E, with assignments so you can practice on your own.
Electrical engineers in EPC, O&M, testing & commissioning, and design, Professionals working in renewable integration and grid compliance, Students aiming to build careers in power system studies
We will use PSS®E V35 (latest stable release used in industry) for all demonstrations.
Yes, session recordings will be provided so you can revisit the lessons anytime.
By the end of the 20-hour training, you’ll be able to model, simulate, and prepare compliance-ready reports in PSS®E — making you job/project ready.
We provide Q&A support during the sessions, and you can reach out afterwards for clarification on assignments.
If you spend at least 2–3 hours practicing between weekends, you’ll be able to master the workflows and apply them confidently.
