I learnt about various battery technologies, microgrids, renewable integration into grid, optimising energy systems using homer pro software. The case study on degrussa plant gave more insights . BESS-MICROGRID DESIGN USING HOMER PRO SOFWTARE
Technically, the course provided valuable insights into modelling Battery Energy Storage Systems using Homer Pro, emphasizing optimal system sizing, lifecycle analysis, and economic evaluation. The hands-on simulations showcased how integrating BESS with renewable energy sources like solar and wind can improve grid reliability and maximize renewable utilization. By exploring different scenarios in Homer Pro, I gained practical insights into system sizing, cost optimization, and maximizing renewable energy utilization while ensuring grid stability and reliability. This knowledge is valuable for designing efficient and sustainable energy solutions. I would like to extend special thanks to Selva & Pradeep, recognizing that this course serves as a fundamental introduction to BESS. There is much to learn and explore through Power Projects.
